Like stepping into a cartoon!
We stumbled across this as much by accident as design. We were looking for a parking place on Smith Street, jostling with a clearly very stressed Mercedes for the one we found and decided the driver may have been a tad Hangry... all was forgiven.

Blk & Whyte is like stepping into a cartoon or drawing. Every detail across the place screams attention and while it takes a moment to convince one's self they are not in a still clip of Aha's 80's hit (you know the one!), its a blast. Although, the temp inside was so oppressive, we requested a move outside to Smith St. Im not much of a fan of footpath dining but was kept very entertained by the diversity of life passing us by.

Coffee was good, and our order was handled quickly. and arrived pretty quickly also. The other Scoffer ordered chilli scrambled with chorizo, yours truly corn fritters with haloumi (which clearly escaped between the kitchen and the table as it was not on the dish), avo, spinach and hollandaise and an extra egg was also forgotten. The one that arrived after it was requested was very undercooked, with raw gloopy egg white everywhere. The chilli scramble was okay, the chorizo a little sweet for our taste (felt a little more like a Lap Cheong Chinese sausage with some sriracha sauce) and was missing the bite and tang of fresh chilli.

Both meals were tasty but I reckon if your venue is going to be Thai influenced or Thai specialist, then perhaps choose the lane and stick in it. Some Thai inspired breakfast options would be ideal, would set you apart from the masses offering the same thing every 25 paces. It was just a little basic.
Id love to be raving about this place as there is so much going for it but we were left just a little underwhelmed. A little finesse would make the world of difference.
Blk & Whyte is at 98 Smith St, Collingwood
